Twisting Postures: Immerse yourself in a curated sequence of twisting postures, designed to awaken your core, improve digestion, and grant your spine a liberating stretch.
Breath as a Detoxifier: Harness the cleansing power of your breath as you delve into each twist, aiding in the release of toxins and embracing a sense of rejuvenation.
Poses in Today's Class:
Twisting Revolved Chair (Parivrtta Utkatasana): Commence your practice in Chair pose and transition into a twist by placing the opposite elbow outside the knee. Press your palms together at the heart center and indulge in the revitalizing twist. Repeat on both sides.
Twisted Lunge (Parivrtta Anjaneyasana): Start in a low lunge with one foot forward and the other back. Place the opposite elbow outside the front knee and twist the torso to the side. Extend the opposite arm towards the ceiling, embracing the revitalizing stretch. Repeat on both sides.
High Lunge: Transition into High Lunge, aligning your body with grace and balance.
Triangle: Embrace Triangle pose, a pose that extends your reach and opens your heart.
Revolved Triangle (Parivrtta Trikonasana): From Triangle pose, add a twist by extending the opposite arm towards the ceiling and placing the other hand on the floor or a block. Delve into the twist, revitalizing both body and mind. Repeat on both sides.
Seated Spinal Twist (Marichyasana III): Sit with both legs extended, bend one knee and draw the foot close to the hip. Twist towards the bent knee, reaching your hand back behind you. Engage in a deep twist, awakening the spine and core. Repeat on both sides.
Savasana: Conclude your practice in the ultimate pose of relaxation and integration, Savasana.
